Had the great privilege of attending my very first Clam Jam last week! As a food photographer, few events are as exciting (or delicious) as a food festival. You got dudes blackout drunk at 1pm because “doors opened at 11”, you got uncles with their arms behind their backs just watching things unfold, you got girls taking every god-given opportunity to take a selfie with their Nacho Libre Triple Stuffed Hot Cheeto Fried Oyster Hoagie, you got punkass little kids running amok because their parents are neck deep in some oysters. There’s no room for mid food — every vendor is firing on all cylinders, bringing out hit after hit.
Most of my work lately has been in the studio because I’m a commercial still life photographer. Commercial food photographer? Whichever you prefer. But it’s so nice to get out and touch grass every now and then. I’ve been hearing about this oyster extravaganza put on by 3rd and Ferry for years now, and I’m so happy to have finally been able to pop in to check it out.
Thanks for taking a gander at my photos.
If you’d like to work together, holler at me on the contact page.
